Wedding - Matt and Karen (A Community comes together)

Matt and Karen came from the same community in our city. Matt and Karen were high school sweethearts and when they were getting married, the whole community came to the wedding. Everyone knew each other, parents of bride and groom, friends, and neighbors had a great time. The whole wedding was like one HUGE block party. I know that Matt and Karen will be happy forever and it was an honor to photograph your wedding.

Wedding - Sheila and Joseph (Top hat and Tails)

Sheila and Joseph are a fun couple. They wanted their wedding to be remembered for a long time. Joseph especially wanted this day to be remembered, so he went all out on the tuxedo that he wore. Top hat and tails he wanted, he normally does not get this formal so he wanted this to be special for the big day. Being married in May is a time when the air is fresh and new things are happening around the world. Lots of memorable memories on this day.

Portraits - Syngyn

I had the pleasure of knowing Syngyn a couple of years ago. I have to say that he was the most inquisitive 7 year old that I knew. I instantly thought about him looking stuff up so at the shoot I gave him an old children’s dictionary that had pictures in it and gave it to him to read. Within minutes he was turning pages and showing his mother what he found. In order to get this shot I asked him to look up from the book and this was what I got. His mother told me that this face in the final image was his serious face when he is deep in something that he is interested in.

I usually like to keep up with the kids to see how they are doing but I am unable to reach him due to unforeseen circumstances. Syngyn, if you are seeing this….you are one in a million! Take care of yourself.

Hotel MacDonald Children’s Christmas Party

I had the pleasure to attend the Christmas party for the children of the employees at the Hotel Macdonald. Every year they do a “Breakfast with Santa” where the staff bring their kids to a wonderful buffet breakfast as well as meet good ol’ St. Nick himself.

Santa arrived right on time after singing Jingle Bells for the second time really loud so he can hear. He burst through the Empire Ballroom doors and laughed heartily ” HO HO HO”, the kids clapped and cheered at Santa’s arrival and sat extremely close to the stage to see if Santa would call their name. Santa was informed by all the parents that work at the Hotel MacDonald that all the kids present were very good boys and girls.

I have to say that I was impressed to all the staff that works at the Hotel MacDonald. They always have a smile and wonderful attitude when they are working there or when they are off work having a good time.
